Workshop Booking Terms & Conditions
RESERVATION POLICY:
Your booking will only be considered confirmed once we have received a completed booking form and your deposit. At that point, the date will be reserved for you, and we will not accept any other bookings for your date / time slot.
If we have agreed to hold a date for you but no deposit has been paid, should someone else enquire about the same date we will inform you and provide you with 7 days to confirm your booking and pay your deposit. If your deposit remains unpaid after 7 days, we will release the date to the other enquirer with immediate effect. You will be informed 24 hours in advance of this happening.
All expenses, including transport and accommodation, are included in the quoted fee, unless otherwise stated. The quoted fee may need to be adjusted for workshops more than 100 miles away from London, or for workshops abroad.
For amplified workshops, it is your responsibility to provide all amplification equipment required. If you would like Taste of Southern Africa to provide amplification, this will have to be quoted for separately.
WORKSHOP REQUIREMENTS:
It is your responsibility to ensure the workshop can be carried out in an appropriate space and venue, with heating and a solid, dry, stable floor. The workshop will not begin if it is deemed unsafe to do so.
If teaching outdoors, it is your responsibility to ensure there is a shelter available to teach under, in case of rain. If no shelter is provided and it starts raining, the workshop will be terminated immediately.
In general, one parking space will be required, depending on the workshop requirements. It is your responsibility to ensure parking is available for the workshop leader(s).
Please ensure workshop leaders are provided with drinking water. Other refreshments, if relevant or available, would be greatly appreciated.
PAYMENT:
We require a 50% deposit to confirm your booking, unless otherwise discussed or agreed. Your deposit is non-refundable. Deposits are to be paid by BACS / bank transfer. Bank details will be provided on your invoice.
Your outstanding balance must be cleared, strictly, by 23:59 on the day before your booking. Your outstanding balance is to be paid by BACS / bank transfer.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
To cancel your booking, please send an email to info@tasteofsouthernafrica.com to inform us.
No additional payment will be required and your booking date will be released with immediate effect.
Paid deposits are non-refundable. If cancelling within 24 hours of the engagement, and/or after paying your outstanding balance, all money paid will be non-refundable.
If a cancellation of the workshop is required due to COVID-19 illness or newly imposed restrictions, paid deposits and balances can be transferred to a new date. Refunds in such instances will also be considered, but at our full discretion, and an admin fee may be charged.
In the highly unlikely instance that we are no longer able to give the workshop, we will inform you immediately and refund your deposit and any other money paid, in full.
COVID-19 CONSIDERATIONS:
Please consider hosting the workshop in a space that has windows to allow for air circulation.
We recommend ensuring handsanitiser is made available for the participants during the workshop, as there will be inevitable mixing of equipment.
We recommend ensuring all participants do a self assessment for COVID symptoms, and to avoid joining the workshop if they feel unwell.
Participants who wish to wear a face mask / face sheild during the workshop are welcome to do so.
