Mokomoto Kalanga Traditional Dance

Mokomoto is one of many lively traditional dances that originate from the Kalanga people of north-eastern Botswana (and far western Zimbabwe, where the majority of Kalanga people live). It is performed by both women and men, typically wearing white tops and black skirts with leg rattles and drumming.

Mokomoto is danced mainly during celebratory occasions such as weddings.
