Botswana Community in the UK is running a networking event in London in celebration of 52 years of Botswana Independence. The main objective of the event is to promote the culture and tradition of Botswana in the UK.

This networking event hopes to bring people together and provide a platform for Botswana entrepreneurs to sell their products & services. In addition it hopes to promote and support Botswana talent, arts, culture & tourism in the UK.

The entrance is free and all budding Batswana entrepreneurs are invited to book a small stall to display their products & services. Exhibitors will speak about their brands & all attendees will be able to network, get to know each other and swap business cards!

We welcome people of all nationalities to attend this event and find out more about the country which inspired:

  • Alexander McCall Smith to write his famous series of novels, The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency which became a TV series

  • The greatest love story of the 20th century in the form of the recently released film A United Kingdom

  • Prince Harry to become patron of Rhino Conservation Botswana and to source from Botswana the diamond for Meghan’s engagement ring.

The Portuguese Community centre is only 100m from Kennington Tube Station. Refreshments will be available including braai & traditional Setswana cuisine. The new Botswana High Commissioner has been invited to attend to meet attendees and talk about the services that the Botswana High Commission can provide to Batswana in the UK!

Please register for your free ticket in advance to book your place as numbers are limited and we need to know how many people are coming to provide sufficient refreshments for the day.
